Cult Japanese label sacai ventures into the world of eyewear in collaboration with Linda Farrow.
Familiar eyewear archetypes are re-imagined by sacai’s Chitose Abe. Riffing on sacai's signature cutting, splicing and “hybrid" aesthetic, the collection explores four recognisable sunglass shapes, made new through a technique of fusing industrial metal frames with highly polished acetate to create unexpected details, in a classical, pure palette of navy, black and white.
Designer Chitose Abe comments, "As always with sacai, I like to play with the most authentic, pure form of a product and to find ways to create something new and unexpected that still feels ‘real’. My goal was to create sunglasses that I’d personally love to wear and I’m thrilled with the result."
The collection is available now via selected retailers.
